Juan M. Salazar is the Director of State and Local Policy at Meta. He manages community relations and local policy engagement efforts in the United States. This includes locations where Meta has a large office presence such as the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York , Austin, Chicago and Los Angeles. During his 8 years at the company he has led impactful public-private partnerships such as Meta’s $1 Billion housing investment and regional transportation initiatives which includes the US 101 Managed Lanes project in the SF Bay Area.

Prior to Meta, Juan was a Program Manager for Growth Sector, a workforce development nonprofit focused on connecting underrepresented communities to STEM Careers. In addition, he previously worked for the Office of Senator Carol Liu in the CA State Legislature.

He received his B.A. in History from UC Berkeley and a Master’s of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
