Promise Scholars Program

San Mateo County Community College District's Promise Scholars Program (PSP) helps students earn certificates and associates degrees within three years by providing comprehensive financial, counseling, and academic supports. Students receive dedicated academic counseling, personalized career development, tutoring, enrollment fee waivers, textbook assistance, and transportation assistance to support their enrollment, completion, and transfer/career goals.

PSP also provides special class scheduling options such as blocked classes during convenient times and classes with other PSP students. As students approach graduation, they receive personalized assistance to help them transfer to a 4-year college or transition into the workforce!

All three of the San Mateo County Community College District's colleges — Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College — have committed to remove financial barriers that prevent students from achieving their educational goals and increasing college completion through the Promise Scholars Program.
