We are experiencing another technology revolution and once again Silicon Valley has become the epicenter. Wireless communications and mobile computing will continue to be an economic driver for the region by generating skilled jobs and economic growth. The new technologies are generating applications that will transform health care, education and e-commerce.

How can public policy expedite building a 21st century communications infrastructure? This question will be the focus of the Silicon Valley Wireless Symposium. This regional event will bring together elected officials, municipal and county staff, governmental agencies, business leaders and wireless service providers. One of the goals of the Symposium is to inform local leaders on the state of the industry and the challenges facing the evolution of a wireless infrastructure. In addition, there will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and suggestions about moving forward.

The Wireless Communications Initiative of Joint Venture Silicon Valley is partnering with several organizations to present the Symposium.
