"THRED Talks" - 2024
Weaving the County Together
The San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) held its 71st Annual Meeting featuring "THRED Talks" - Weaving Our Region Together event at The Farallon Room at Skyline College in San Bruno in June 2024.
“THRED Talks," launched in 2016, is a showcase highlighting San Mateo County and its contributions to this dynamic Bay Area - Silicon Valley region. Through "THRED Talks," we weave stories, focusing on the County, its businesses, its innovators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
This year’s “THRED Talks” highlighted the importance of: commercial development, the airport industry, education, small business/artificial intelligence, and the Port of Redwood City.
SAMCEDA was fortunate to hear from five powerful “THRED Talks” speakers featuring:
- Yayu Lin - President, Commercial Development + Advisory | Partner, Sares Regis Group of Northern California
- Melissa Moreno, J.D. - Chancellor, San Mateo County Community College District
- Judi Mosqueda - Chief Development Officer, San Francisco International Airport
- Annie Tsai - Chief Operating Officer, Interact | Columnist, San Mateo Daily Journal
- Kristine Zortman - Executive Director, Port of Redwood City
Through their dynamic and informative “THRED Talks” presentations, attendees gained new knowledge and appreciation for what makes San Mateo County a unique place to live and work.
After the “THRED Talks” program, attendees (business leaders, elected officials, non-profit, and education professionals from all over San Mateo County and the Bay Area region) engaged in a networking reception where they could form new connections and celebrate established partnerships and friendships.
SAMCEDA appreciates all the sponsors (shown below) who generously supported our event.
