Ariane Coleman Hogan
Ariane Coleman Hogan leads Genentech’s local government engagement as the Director for Local Government Affairs at Genentech. Ariane came to Genentech in 2011 with an unusual blend of corporate and public sector experience she obtained from a variety of work settings including the San Francisco Mayor’s Office Economic Development, Habitat for Humanity’s real estate department and Gap, Inc.’s real estate and real estate law groups. She is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and Howard University School of Law.
Over her tenure at Genentech, Ariane has consistently advocated for Genentech’s ability to make great medicine to serve people and their families facing diseases such as breast cancer, hemophilia, multiple sclerosis and diabetic macular edema. Ariane has advanced policy solutions in the areas of regional transportation and housing, land use for manufacturing and research and development and access to child care for working families.
Ariane has served on a variety of local boards and committees including CASA, Homes for All, Partnership for the Bay’s Future’s Policy Committee, Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Working Council, Chair San Francisco SPUR Board and member of the SPUR Executive Committee and Chair of San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA).
Ariane is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area where she currently resides with her family. On weekends, you will often see her on the sidelines of a soccer game or in the stands of a regional track meet cheering on her daughters. In her personal time, she loves to cook, go on local hikes as well as spend time with friends and family.
