SAMCEDA's President & CEO to be Inducted in San Mateo County’s '2024 Women's Hall of Fame'
SAMCEDA is proud to announce that President & CEO, Rosanne Foust, is one of the inductees for the 2024 San Mateo County Women's Hall of Fame.
As a committed leader and advocate for San Mateo County’s public and private sectors, Rosanne works tirelessly with SAMCEDA members, partners, and community stakeholders on issues, solutions, and new ideas to ensure economic vitality and opportunities for everyone.
Through her passion, dedication, and leadership, she has been instrumental in successful advocacy efforts related to major infrastructure projects, building of thousands of new housing units, the expansion of biotech hubs up, and has led the business community to support transportation and transit initiatives, small business recovery, and much more.
Additionally, her accomplishments include being honored as one of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women of Influence 2023, one of San Francisco Business Times’s Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area, Chamber San Mateo County’s 2021 Chair’s Person of the Year award recipient, Notre Dame de Namur University’s first Alumna of Distinction, and Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore Kevin Mullin’s 2021 Woman of the Year.
Rosanne is joined alongside the County of San Mateo’s San Mateo County Behavioral Health & Recovery Services’ Dr. Maria Lorente-Foresti, Build Up San Mateo County’s Christine Padilla, CoastPride’s Jenny Walter, Half Moon Bay High School’s Catalina Gonzalez Johnston, and El Camino High School’s Maya Thompson.
The Women’s Hall of Fame was established in 1984 by the County of San Mateo’s Commission on the Status of Women to “…recognize the incredible work of women of all ages and walks of life in our community. Every two years a new slate of women, including outstanding high school students, join the ranks of some of San Mateo County’s greatest contributors, an honor roll that today reaches over 300 individuals.”
A ceremony will be held to acknowledge and celebrate the honorees on Friday, March 8th (International Women’s Day) at 4:00PM at Skyline College’s Farallon Room in San Bruno. Tickets to attend the event are available here.
